“It is important to me to have environmental and nature awareness among Palestinians. This workshop is called ‘the guards of heaven’. I bring children here to the forest and I teach them how to connect with nature."
The 46-year-old activist holds weekly workshops for children
Her aim is to equip the youngsters with basic environmental knowledge
and help them develop a sense of responsibility towards nature
“The moment a child starts connecting with life here in the forest, whether with trees, flowers, plants, even with spiders or anything that lives here, they'll get the feeling that they don't want to hurt them."
