The Palace Responded to Reports that Kate Middleton Is "Furious" About Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Exit

Kensington Palace released a rare statement on Wednesday responding to claims about Kate Middleton.

A story in Tatler magazine claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge was "exhausted" after being given more responsibility following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal exit. The story also claimed that Markle and Middleton once had an argument over whether or not Charlotte should wear tights during Markle and Prince Harry's wedding.

“This story contains a swathe of inaccuracies and false misrepresentations which were not put to Kensington Palace prior to publication," a spokesperson for the couple said in the statement. The did not specify which claims were false.

The source for the story claimed to be a friend of the Cambridges with direct knowledge of their situation. "Meghan and Harry have been so selfish," that source said. "William and Catherine really wanted to be hands-on parents and the Sussexes have effectively thrown their three children under a bus. There goes their morning school runs as the responsibilities on them now are enormous."

Gossip about the Sussexes and the Cambridges is nothing new for the royal family; however, it is rare for them to speak out about it. Markle has been vocal about how these sorts of rumors have been detrimental to her mental health and well-being.
