Pack Your Trunk! Elephant Goes on Adventure at Empty Maryland Zoo

An African elephant took the opportunity to do some exploring at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore recently, while it is temporarily closed to the public amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Footage shows Felix the elephant giving a newly built area, the Giraffe Crossing, its first trial run.

She used the new passage to trek from her own enclosure to the giraffe yard, where she paused to have a graze before heading back to her home habitat. Credit: Maryland Zoo via Storyful
