Known as a gambling destination, Atlantic City might soon become a more family-friendly vacation spot: The owner of Showboat hotel is planning on dropping $100 million to build an indoor water park.

On Tuesday, the Philadelphia developer in charge of the Showboat, Bart Blatstein, applied for a state credit tax with the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority to help finance the water park, The Associated Press reports. If the agency designates Blatstein's project as an entertainment retail district, then he'll get an annual rebate of up to $2.5 million in sales tax generated by the project for 20 years.

Blatstein plans on building the park next to the Showboat, which currently doesn't have a casino. “Atlantic City does not have a family market,” Blatstein told the AP. “This will open up a whole new market that doesn’t exist.” Since the water park will be indoors, it'll be open year-round for families to visit.

The water park will be built on the parking lot between the Showboat hotel and the Ocean City Casino Resort, which is located on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Not only will the water park be adjacent to the Showboat hotel, but it will actually be connected to it.

So far, there are no specific details about what the water park will look like. But with a $100 million budget, it probably won't disappoint. Blatstein told the AP that he's appointed a team to lead the project, and they're set to break ground starting in August.
