If you know the name Christie's, you know the auction house is famous for its sales of blue-chip art and (nearly) priceless antiques—yes, it's the auctioneer that sold that controversial da Vinci work for a cool $450 million in 2017. All that is to say, it's not exactly the first place you'd think to look for affordable art. But, the company is looking to change that with the launch of Christie's 100, an online-only sale of 100 lots by big-name artists where bids open at $100.

The sale includes art by Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama (the artist behind the viral Infinity Rooms), Robert Indiana, KAWS, Jean Tinguely (the postcards shown above) and more. "We settled on the ‘100’ model to keep the sale tightly curated and so that no starting bid would be beyond striking distance for the fullest spectrum of bidders," explains Christie's Post-War and Contemporary Art specialist Noah Davis. "Establishing this new level of inclusivity means collecting contemporary art has never been easier."

In addition to print, paintings, and drawings, the sale also includes a few pieces of art-meets-homeware, like a version of Robert Indiana's iconic LOVE paintings rendered as a rug and a porcelain plate featuring one of Jeff Koons's balloon dogs.

Christie's 100 comes at a time when almost all auction houses have opened up online bidding (online bids are pouring in from the Sotheby's Mario Buatta sale as we speak!), partially in an effort to appeal to a younger generation of buyers, who have grown accustomed to purchasing everything from dinner to dresses via ecommerce. And, if you're looking to start a collection, where better to start than with these names?

Bidding for Christie's 100 runs January 28-February 5. Register to bid here.
