Owls Make For Awesome Companions In Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Storybook Vale is the second major expansion to come to the ever-popular cozy game Disney Dreamlight Valley, bringing all new biomes, characters, and stories to tell. Of course, as with the main game, there are also plenty of new critters to meet and befriend. And among these are Owls, the very first critter you’ll encounter during your adventure through the DLC.
Like all critters, each of the four Owls spawn on different days and at different times, but they all share the same favorite food! Read on to learn every Owl’s spawn time and how many times they’ll need to be fed to win over—and then we’ll reveal their favorite food so that you can fill their bellies the right way!
All Owl Locations And Spawn Times
There are four types of Owls to find throughout The Storybook Vale expansion. Here’s when and where you can find each of them.
Brown Owl
The Brown Owl is found in the Library of Lore at all times of the day from Monday - Friday. You’ll need to feed it 2 times to win its companionship.
Purple Owl
The Purple Owl is found in The Bind every day between 12AM - 9AM. You’ll need to feed it 2 times to win its companionship.
Dark Owl
The Dark Owl is found in the Library of Lore all times of the day from Saturday - Sunday. You’ll have to feed it 4 times to win its companionship.
Light Owl
The Light Owl is found in The Bind every day between 3PM - 8PM. You’ll have to feed it 4 times to win its companionship.
How To Feed Owls
Owls are the easiest of the bunch to feed in the new expansion. Simply approach them and they’ll be ready for interaction (just like Sunbirds from the base game). You can’t get much simpler than that!
Owls’ Favorite Food
So, you know about finding them and how to offer them grub, but what’s an Owl’s favorite food?
The answer is easy: Barley!
You can buy Barley seeds at Goofy’s Stall in The Bind, making this a simple and straightforward food to stock up on as you work on winning over the hearts of all of the Owls. Keep in mind that you can also feed them other grains. Ya know, if you’re a monster who doesn’t want them to be truly happy.
Either way, keep at it and you’ll soon have all four Owl critters added to your companions list. Don’t forget to recruit every Dragon and Pegasus from The Storybook Vale, too!
