Overflowing Creek Floods Road in Montgomery County, Maryland

Showers and thunderstorms overflowed creeks and made roads impassable in Montgomery County, Maryland, on Thursday morning, September 23, officials said.

The Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service’s chief spokesman, Pete Piringer, shared this footage on Twitter Thursday morning showing flooding on Beach Drive. The adjacent Rock Creek had overflowed its banks, he said.

Montgomery County officials performed a water rescue nearby on Connecticut Avenue, Piringer said.
