Outlander Photopalooza! Starz Releases New Images From Season 7 Part 2 and Prequel Blood of My Blood

Starz on Thursday released several new images from both Outlander and its forthcoming prequel Blood of My Blood, in conjunction with the network’s panels at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. And now it’s time for Newlanders and Oldlanders alike to peruse and discuss!
Let’s tackle Outlander first. The eight episodes left in Season 7 will find Claire, Jamie and Young Ian returning to Scotland, where — per the official synopsis — “the perils of the Revolutionary War force them to choose between standing by those they love and fighting for the land they have made their new home.” While that’s going on, Roger and Brianna “face new enemies across time, and must battle the forces that threaten to pull their family apart.”
We see evidence of that Scottish homecoming in the photos below, where Jamie (played by Sam Heughan) and his brother-in-law Ian (Steven Cree) have a heart-to-heart out on the moors. Elsewhere, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Lord John (David Berry) share a serious moment, young Ian (John Bell) looks wary in the stables, and Roger (Richard Rankin) — ostensibly on the hunt for Rob Cameron and Jem — stands near a campsite for one. Meanwhile, in the 1970s, Brianna (Sophie Skelton) loses her mind with worry (we’re guessing) as she talks to police officers, likely about her son’s kidnapping.
Then, if you keep scrolling, you’ll get a good look at the four characters at the heart of Blood of My Blood. Harriet Slater (Pennyworth) and Jamie Roy (Condor’s Nest) play Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser; Hermione Corfield (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Jeremy Irvine (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again) play Claire’s folks, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp.
Blood of My Blood will focus on the two couples’ “parallel love stories set in two different time periods, with Jamie’s parents in the early 18th-century Scottish Highlands and Claire’s parents in WWI England,” the official logline reads. Starz greenlit the spinoff in January 2023.
Blood of My Blood does not yet have a premiere date. Outlander will return for the back half of Season 7 on Friday, Nov. 22, at 8/7c. In the meantime, scroll down to see all the new photos, then hit the comments with your thoughts!
