Outer rain bands of tropical depression Ida brought downpours to parts of the Florida Panhandle on Tuesday morning, August 31, two days after the storm made landfall in Louisiana as a Category 4 hurricane.
Video shared on Twitter shows rain and wind lashing Seagrove Beach, Florida, on Tuesday morning. Lightning strikes caused “a number” of structure fires in the area, the South Walton Fire District said.
Bands of rain continued to affect parts of Georgia and Florida on Tuesday afternoon as the storm moved out of the area, the National Weather Service said.
