Orlando Deputies Save Dogs From Burning Animal Shelter

Police in Orlando, Florida, worked to evacuate dogs and cats who were trapped inside a burning animal shelter on the night of September 15-16.

The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando said, “We are very sad to report that we lost 23 cats to the fire, but firefighters and staff were able to save ALL of the dogs.”

Orange County Sheriff’s Office shared this footage showing the rescue at the location on Conroy Road, saying officers were “so glad” they could save some of the animals. Credit: Orange County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
