KUALA LUMPUR, August 2 — If you have yet to get your hands on tickets for Jacky Cheung’s concert here this month, the organiser has announced the sale of restricted view tickets.

Taking to their social media pages, Unusual Entertainment announced the tickets are available for six of the God of Songs’ concerts (from August 11 to 13 and August 18 to 20).

“This is to allow fans who failed to get their tickets previously to do so,” said the organiser, adding that sale of the tickets would begin on Friday, August 4, at noon.

It also reminded those who have gotten the tickets earlier to give opportunity to others to get their tickets.

Some of the fans’ responses were less than enthusiastic as they had hoped Cheung would add more dates to his concerts here.

Facebook user Ricky Tok said it should not be called a concert but merely a listening event.

Another user Steven Wong said Cheung took the trouble to walk up to fans seated at the restricted view area to greet them during his performance in Singapore.

“He is such a good sport,” he said.

When the tickets were opened for sale in May, they were sold out in two hours.

The 61-year-old would be performing at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, his first concert here in five years. The last time Cheung performed in Malaysia was in 2018 as part of his A Classic Tour, where he staged three sold-out concerts at the same stadium.

The stopover was part of his world tour that kicked off in Macau on June 9.
