Orchestra promotes recycling at Bolivian landfill

This orchestra is playing by a Bolivian landfill to promote recycling culture

Paraguay's Cateura Orchestra uses instruments made from waste that the musicians made themselves

"This is one of the best cellos of this material there is. My colleague has another one that was made very recently, which has the same sound as the formal cello, a cello made of wood. Both practically have the same sound, there is not much difference, only that this one is made of rubbish."

The concert was organized to raise awareness of the environment and garbage collectors

as La Paz authorities seek to minimize the environmental impact of landfills

So far the orchestra has performed in 51 countries around the world
