I don't know about you, but I have an entire box of hair products that I basically never touch. Pretty sure there's a bottle of hairspray in there from my high school prom and let me tell you, that is a hairstyle I will never be recreating again.

If, like me, you are far more confident with your makeup than your hair, it can be really hard to know where to start. Do I need a hair 'primer'? What about a leave-in conditioner? Should I be using oil? Does anyone still still use mousse? Is volumising spray meant to be sticky?

Thankfully, Hailey Bieber's hairstylist Amanda Lee, has come to our rescue in a new IGTV on her page, sharing how she uses her "two favourite" and "most used" products.

Those two products are a "good texturising spray and a good dry shampoo", which Amanda says are not only essential but are also the only two things she would always keep in her kit.

So far, so easy.

While I only tend to reach for my dry shampoo when my hair resembles fish and chip paper, Amanda recommends also using it on day one, clean hair. "I use dry shampoo on my roots to anticipate the oil build-up and give me volume right off the bat."

Not only that, but spraying dry shampoo on day one hair will extend the life of your style, according to Amanda.

After spraying the dry shampoo and curling her hair, Amanda finishes with her second product of choice: texturising spray.

This she sprays from the top of her ears (avoiding her roots) down to her ends, whilst scrunching her hair with her hands, "what this is going to do is add texture to my hair, so that nice beachy, sea-tossed texture that we all love."

Unfortunately we can't get Amanda's favourite brand (Not Your Mother's) here in the UK, so I've included my two recommendations instead.
