Wales has produced some of the true greats of snooker, and it looks like another young maestro is about to emerge from the principality.
Check out this video of seven-year-old Jamie Williams, clearing up from green to black and showing amazing cue-ball control in the process. Despite his young age, Williams is already fourth in Wales in the under-14s category, his proud dad Ben told Storyful.
Ben Williams recorded this footage of Jamie in action last August, at his local snooker hall in Holyhead. He said the boy’s idol is three-time World Champion, and compatriot, Mark Williams.
“He’s been lucky enough to have met all the top players and they all compliment him on his manners and smile,” Williams said. “He’s not fazed by any of them. Not even Ronnie O’Sullivan. To Jamie, they’re just snooker players like him!”
Jamie has been playing since he was three years old, but has only been playing on a full-size table for the last several months, according to his father.
