Olympian Noah Lyles is engaged!

On Sunday, Oct. 13, the sprinter, 27, announced in a sweet video shared on his Instagram account that he popped the question to his now-fiancée, fellow Olympian Junelle Bromfield, on Saturday.

"To My Future Wife," Lyles captioned the Reel, which was set to a cover of Bobby Caldwell's 1978 track "What You Won't Do for Love."

"I Will Love You Forever 💍," he wrote alongside the clip, which showed himself and Bromfield, 26, walking hand-in-hand into a modern house, decked out with candles, flowers and rose petals. The pair made their way down a hallway into the home's backyard, where a large heart fashioned from pink roses was displayed alongside a neon sign that read, "Will you marry me?"

The Jamaican runner wore a glittery silver dress and heels for the occasion, while Lyles sported a black suit with a gold accent on the pants as their friends and family cheered them on.

"ENGAGED💍🥺," Bromfield wrote in her own Instagram post, alongside a video showing off her ring alongside her friends.

Lyles previously revealed that he and Bromfield met on social media in 2017, but their first date didn't go so well and they decided to remain friends. That is, until 2022 when Lyles — who won gold for Team USA in the men's 100-meter final at the Paris Olympics on Aug. 4 — decided to give romance another shot and asked Bromfield out again. Since then, the pair have been inseparable.

“We’re going to grow old together, and it’s going to be forever,” Lyles said on the Fast Lane Lifestyle podcast in June 2024.

The couple went Instagram official in December 2022. Bromfield — who runs for Jamaica's team and won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympics — accompanied Lyles to the USATF Night of Legends celebration, where he took home the Male Athlete of the Year Award. The next day, both shared images of their red carpet date night on social media.

In August 2023, Bromfield marked their first anniversary with a sweet message on Instagram. “Cheers to 7 years of friendship 🫂, 6 months of dating 🍽️, 1 year of being your partner 👩🏿‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏾, And to forever loving you ❤️🙏🏿” she captioned the post.

During an interview on the Inside Track podcast in March this year, Lyles spoke about his strong connection with Bromfield, saying "this is my best relationship ever."

“When we became friends, I told him that I liked him because of [his] brutal honesty,” Brumfield said of Lyles during the same episode. “That’s what drew me to him.”

As for Lyles, being understood and accepted for his blunt honesty was what sealed the deal. “Hearing stuff like that I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I need this woman in my life,’ ” he said.

“I already liked you but that’s a solidified answer of like, okay, we’re going to grow old together, and it’s going to be forever, and it’s going to be constant,” he added. “Hearing things like that is like, yeah, I’d want a woman like that to raise my kids.”
