Olly Murs completes charity trek in memory of 'very special' Caroline Flack

Olly Murs has said he had a "special weekend" undertaking a charity expedition in memory of his late friend Caroline Flack.
The singer was part of a group aiming to climb 24 peaks in 24 hours to raise money for suicide prevention charity Samaritans after the Love Island star took her own life in February last year at the age of 40.
Murs, who co-hosted The X Factor alongside Flack in 2015, shared an update on Sunday from the summit of a peak in the Lake District where the challenge was taking place.

"New peak at the Lake District!" he wrote. “This one had no name, so we called it the “Flack Peak” this was a Special weekend with Special people, doing something for a very Special person!
“Thanks for all the messages of support and the donations xx.”
He posted a picture of a rock with the words "Flack Peak" written on it as well a group shot of the climbers lying down in the picturesque location.
Murs had previously given an update after climbing seven of the peaks as he said in a post: "DAY 1 COMPLETED ✅ On our Climb for Caroline! Was super tough but we smashed it together!"
He accompanied it with a snap of him posing and flexing his muscles as well as photos with the other climbers.
"This pic was clearly taken at the start 🤣💪🏻 for anyone who is wondering we did 7 PEAKS SO FAR - ROSSETT PIKE, ALLEN GRAGS, ILL GRAG, SCAFELL PIKE, BROAD CRAG, ESK PIKE AND BOW FELL 🥵🥴😅👌🏻," Murs added.

He was joined on the walk by Flack's former personal trainer Bradley Simmonds, stylists Lou Teasdale and Nana Acheampong and Flack's close friend Mollie Grosberg.
Teasdale shared on Sunday that they had managed to complete 17 peaks across the two days.
The Climb for Caroline fundraiser has so far raised almost £24,000 out of a £30,000 goal.
