Olivia Culpo Reveals Why Her Sister Aurora's Boyfriend Wasn't Invited to Her Wedding
The two sisters joked about wedding protocol in Aurora Culpo's latest 'Barely Filtered' podcast episode
Olivia Culpo had specific rules for her and now-husband Christian McCaffrey's wedding that even older sister Aurora Culpo had to abide by.
On Wednesday, July 3, Aurora released an episode of her Barely Filtered podcast that featured the two sisters talking about the June 29 nuptials and the days leading up to it.
Towards the middle of the episode, Aurora, 35, and Olivia, 32, joked about Aurora bringing her new boyfriend as her plus-one to the wedding.
"He's not invited to the wedding," Olivia quickly stated after her older sister alluded to a question for Olivia about her boyfriend. "If that's what you're going to say."
"Rude," Aurora remarked.
Olivia disagreed. "No, rude to invite somebody I've never met," she said.
The Barely Filtered host then reframed it and asked if her “special friend” could attend.
"Yeah, okay. Flavor of the month,” Olivia joked. “Not interested."
Aurora said her boyfriend was going to listen to the episode, prompting Olivia to speak directly to him. "Sorry, it's not a reflection of you, it's a reflection of my sister,” Olivia said.

Aurora would have preferred her boyfriend not to attend the wedding festivities because she “didn't want to take away” from Olivia and McCaffrey, she explained. It would be “uncomfortable” for her boyfriend, Aurora noted, adding that her children are still getting to know him. Aurora shares son Remi, 5, and daughter Solei, 3, with ex-husband Mikey Bortone.

Olivia and McCaffrey tied the knot at a chapel in Watch Hill, a coastal neighborhood in Westerly, R.I. During the ceremony, she wore a modest Dolce & Gabbana crepe ball gown that featured a crew neck, long sleeves and buttons down the back.
In an interview with Vogue, Olivia said she and McCaffrey chose to hold their ceremony in a 150-year-old chapel in Watch Hill because the San Francisco 49ers quarterback always wanted to get married in a church. “That was our number one priority,” she said.

She described marriage as a "covenant," explaining, "It’s the beginning of the rest of your life, and it’s the union and bond of two people forever."
The festivities continued at Ocean House, a luxury resort overlooking the ocean, where Culpo changed into two additional looks, each coordinated with different hairstyles.
She teamed her off-the-shoulder reception gown, which featured a rose adornment in the center, with a half-up 'do. She then tied her hair back in a laid-back ponytail to go with her retro-feeling after-party minidress, which included a sheer hoop mini skirt and rose appliqués.
