A surge in international holiday booking is expected following the announcement that fully vaccinated arrivals from France will no longer need to isolate upon returning to the UK. France was moved from the amber plus to the amber list while seven other countries were added to the green list. These are Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Romania and Norway. The Department of Transport revealed the changes will come into effect on Sunday August 8th. India, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates will be moved from the red to the amber list. Spain remains on the amber list and the UK government is urging travellers to take a PCR test before flying home. .
