Ohio Firefighters Help Kids Cool Down During Extreme Heat
Firefighters in Sandusky, Ohio, kept local kids cool with water from a fire truck as extreme heat impacted much of the state on Wednesday, June 15.
The National Weather Service (NWS) said the Cleveland area recorded temperatures of 95 degrees Fahrenheit on Wednesday. A record high temperature was set in Toledo, while the record for high temperatures was tied at both the Akron-Canton Airport and Youngstown, according to the NWS.
The high temperatures were recorded as excessive heat warnings and heat advisories were in effect from Michigan to northern Florida on Wednesday.
