'Oh My God': Tornado Causes Destruction in Mullica Hill, New Jersey

A tornado caused extensive damage in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, on September 1, as part of extreme weather on the eastern seaboard brought on by remnants of Hurricane Ida.

Local media reported homes in the area were destroyed. Several other possible tornadoes were reported in the state.

This video, taken in the Mullica Hill area by Matt DeAngelis, captures a large funnel cloud. “Oh my God,” said DeAngelis, as debris flies through the air. As winds pick up he runs back towards a nearby vehicle.

Tornadoes were confirmed earlier on Wednesday in Maryland. Farther north, a tornado watch was in effect until early Thursday in parts of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Credit: Matt DeAngelis via Storyful
