Offset is sharing what motivated him to shoot his shot with Cardi B.

During a Wednesday appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the "Ric Flair Drip" rapper opened up about what drew him to Cardi — and how he ultimately knew she was the one.

“I had seen her online, and I just loved the way... how raw she was and how confident she was," Offset, 31, told host Alex Cooper.

He added, "She didn’t give a f--- what nobody thought And it’s just like damn, that’s fire. Funny, great personality, from what I could see, you know I’m saying? Like that’s a funny girl, she’s a cool girl, and then I shot my shot and I swished it.”

Once he got to know Cardi, he realized how close to her parents and sister she was and determined she was "the one."

"First off, she's a family person. I pay attention to... f--- the music and all that s---. That s--- never mattered — that's not what I look at," he explained. "I look at your home values because I'm from the South, so I'm raised by my mother and grandmother. I come from strong women and I see how dedicated and determined she was to get to a certain place for her family."

The "Clout" rapper also admired that Cardi was determined to provide for her family.

"She comes from the bottom, from stripping, and she was still helping the family with that little money," he said. "It's [also] her grind and her focus. You can't tell her nothing and it's the same way with me. There's nothing you can tell me I can't do at all. I don't care what you think. It's that determination."

Elsewhere in the interview, the rapper opened up about how he's building trust in his relationship again. (The couple, who began dating in February 2017 and were married that September, have faced cheating allegations in the past.)

“First off by like respecting her position, right? We both public figures, we both in the eyes of people. Stop being selfish. You’re married to this woman, be dedicated to this woman," he said of how they rebuilt trust.

"Also, just being more communicative about s---. Like, we just talk more and like, cause you know work was getting in the way sometimes and it was like [phew] and we would talk all the time but like communication is key man," he added. "If you don’t like some s---, tell me, and if I don’t like some s--- I’ll tell you. We talk and communication is key, not communicating f---s s--- up."

Earlier this month, Cardi and Offset stepped out for his Set It Off album release party at the nightclub Poppy in West Hollywood. That same week, they also celebrated her 31st birthday. The star revealed her husband made her day extra special by gifting her with $500,000 worth of Hermès bags, per Grazia, and decorating their home.
