Offset Finally Reveals New Album Title, Release Date

Offset has announced the title and release date of his sophomore solo album, “Set It Off.” The project, which features Travis Scott, is slated to drop on Oct. 13. Back in April, the Migos rapper revealed to Variety that the album is slated to feature fellow Atlanta rapper Future, Chloe Bailey, Latto and of course his wife, Cardi B. Their duet, “Jealousy,” was released last month.

The Migos rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) to break the news, posting the cover art and also revealing that the project’s lead single “Fan” will arrive tomorrow along with a video. He recently stated on the social media platform that the album will include “They Can’t Be Too Upset,” which he teased earlier this year on Instagram.

“Set It Off” marks the first solo release from the Lawrenceville, Ga. native since 2019’s Father of 4. Prior to that, he collaborated with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin for the full-length collaborative album “Without Warning” in 2017. As part of Migos, he was last featured on the group’s 2021 album “Culture III,” which arrived in 2021 and marked the trio’s last album since member Takeoff was killed the following year.

“This is me going full-fledged into my solo career,” Offset told Variety earlier this year. “The objective is to do it fully and smash shit and fuck the game up as a solo artist. I’m coming through, bustin’ through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time.”

Last month, Offset filed to dismiss his 2022 lawsuit against Quality Control Music, where Migos is signed. He initially filed the suit claiming that the label continued to claim ownership of his solo releases despite buying back his rights in a 2021 deal.
