Oasis tickets live: Presale ends as band threatens to cancel tickets resold at inflated prices
Oasis fans are scrambling to nab tickets to the group’s 2025 reunion tour.
The British rock band announced their long-awaited reunion on Tuesday (27 August), with brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher set to join one another onstage for the first time since their split in 2009.
While tickets will go on general sale on Saturday 31 August, the pre-sale offers fans an extra opportunity to get their hands on those coveted stadium tickets for London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Dublin. Find all the information here.
Oasis announced in a fresh statement: “All Ticket Ballot codes have now been sent out to fans. Please do NOT buy a code or transfer them to someone else. Codes ONLY work with the registered email address. If you didn’t get a code to access the pre-sale, you can join the general sale tomorrow morning.”
Fans who received ballot codes for the pre-sale were able to try and purchase tickets between 7pm until 10pm on Friday.
Oasis announced additional dates in Manchester, London and Edinburgh earlier this week, due to overwhelming demand.

Oasis have issued a warning to fans to avoid unauthorized resale sites.
“We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale,” the band said on social media.
“Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via @Ticketmaster and @Twickets. Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters.”
Within minutes of presale opening, tickets were being listed on resale sites at prices up to £6,000, BBC News reported.
The face value of the tickets ranges between £74.25 to £506.25 for the pre-show “party package.”

Will resold tickets be available on Ticketmaster?

According to the Ticketmaster website:
Ticketholders can resell their tickets from Monday 2nd September through Ticketmaster or Twickets only. The tour has put this policy in place to cap ticket resale prices to combat price inflation and prevent ticket touting and bots. Selling tickets on unauthorised resale platforms breaches the promoter’s terms and conditions and may result in those tickets being cancelled. Therefore, they strongly recommend buying and selling tickets only through Ticketmaster or Twickets.

Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anais has hit out at a section of Oasis fans for “ageism” and “misogyny”, as a desperate scramble for tickets has led to some rancour among the band’s fanbase.
On Tuesday (27 August), the Mancunian group announced they would be reuniting, 15 years after an explosive split between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher.
Following the reconciliation, some on social media complained about young women “jumping on the bandwagon” to buy tickets for the concerts, leading to older fans missing out.
Anais, 24, wrote in a comment on TikTok, “One thing I won’t stand for is the ageism and the misogyny around people getting tickets.
“Sorry if a 19-year-old girl in a pink cowboy hat wants to be there, I will have my friendship bracelets ready.”

With Oasis tour tickets set to go on sale, Noel Gallagher has addressed his fall-out with brother Liam in his “first interview” since their reunion was announced.
Earlier this week, the band revealed they would play 14 shows in the UK and Ireland in 2025.
After “unprecedented demand”, three additional shows were added to their schedule. They also ruled themselves out of an appearance at Glastonbury next summer following intense fan speculation.
On Thursday (29 August), with Oasis fever in overdrive, one fan couldn’t believe their luck when they ran into Noel during a shopping trip in London.

The storied rock band will play stadium shows in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin, with gigs outside Europe to be added at a later date.
Their reunion announcement comes right before the 30-year anniversary of Definitely Maybe, the band’s record-breaking debut album. Next year, meanwhile, will mark the 30th anniversary of their follow-up, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, one of the biggest-selling LPs by a British act of all time.

Noel Gallagher's daughter has called out the “ageism and the misogyny” from long-time Oasis fans, whom she says feel entitled to tickets more than young women who might have discovered the band’s music more recently.
Anais Gallagher’s dad Noel has buried the hatchet with her uncle, Liam, to head out on the band’s first live tour in 16 years.
Posting to TikTok, Anais responded to fans apparently complaining about people trying to get involved in the reunion hype.
“One thing I won’t stand for is the ageism and the misogyny around people getting tickets,” she said in the comments section of a video shared by user Josie, who claimed she’d seen people complaining about how “everyone now suddenly loves Oasis”.
“Sorry if a 19-year-old girl in a pink cowboy hat wants to be there, I will have my friendship bracelets ready,” she added.
In a follow-up, Josie said she meant her video to be a “fun little laugh”.

“It was just a point in that don’t try and gatekeep Oasis because you can’t gatekeep probably the most famous band to come out of the UK, if we’re disregarding The Beatles and stuff like that, but definitely the most famous Britpop band,” she said. “You can’t gatekeep them.”

‘We were all cabbaged beyond belief’: 30 years of Oasis’s masterpiece debut Definitely Maybe
Thursday 29 August 2024 23:36 , Maira Butt
There’s a good few seconds at the start of Definitely Maybe, three decades old this week, where you might think you’ve put on an Eagles record. A very country riff strikes up over a grungy chunk of guitar, like a distant glimpse of the Californian dream – a sonic oasis, if you like. Ten seconds later, determined drums kick in, the guitar accelerates like a drag race to glory and a voice rises from the Manchester gutter, demanding the stars. “I live my life in the city, there’s no easy way out,” sang Liam as “Rock ‘N’ Roll Star” took flight, the ultimate example of manifesting one’s ambitions into cold, hard reality.

Oasis are a band like no other – the reunion hype is fully justified
Thursday 29 August 2024 22:27 , Maira Butt
Naysayers might ask why a band reunion is generating so much hype when plenty of their Britpop peers have done the same in recent years. Blur returned to Wembley in July 2023, the same month that Pulp sold out Finsbury Park as part of their massive UK tour.
But no other rock band of their time really compares when it comes to that narrative arc: the humble origins, the difficult childhoods then the rise to global fame. The partying, the excess. Then the Romulus and Remus-level fallout of 2009, when Liam squared off with his brother in a backstage room at Rock en Seine festival in Paris, wielding Noel’s guitar “like an axe”. And now, the reconciliation.

Oasis reunion confirmed as Liam and Noel Gallagher mend rift 15 years after fallout

Stop crying your heart out, Oasis fans. The rock band have announced their long-awaited reunion and, with it, their first UK and Ireland shows in 16 years.
After more than a decade of rumours, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have (seemingly) healed their longstanding rift and will join one another onstage for the Oasis Live 25 tour, where they will play a string of stadium shows in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin across summer 2025.
“I never did like that word FORMER,” Liam, 51, had teased of his frontman status just hours earlier, while responding to fans pleading with him to confirm the news.
The tour will include four nights at Heaton Park in Manchester, the band’s hometown, between 11 to 20 July, along with four shows at Wembley Stadium in London from 25 July to 3 August. Three further dates were added on Thursday (29 August).
These dates include 16 July in Manchester, 30 July in London and 12 August in Edinburgh. Tickets for all shows will go on sale at 9am on 31 August.
