Oak Fire Burns 18,000 Acres in California

The Oak fire in Mariposa County, California, had spread to more than 18,000 acres by Tuesday, July 26, according to Cal Fire.

Cal Fire reported the fire, which started on Friday, was at 26 percent containment on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service predicted heavy smoke from the wildfire would continue to spread in the state. Bay Area Air Quality warned people in the region to prepare for the effects of the smoke.
