NHS staff took part in a slow-clap protest on Thursday, March 11, amid a row over the UK government’s offer of a 1 percent pay rise this year.
Thousands nationwide joined the demonstration at 8 pm.
The Unite Union previously called the government’s pay offer “insulting” and “unacceptable” to staff who they said were “exhausted after a year of tireless caring for patients during the pandemic”.
