Nude bicyclists protest in Greece

Dozens of citizens of all ages in bodypainting, naked, or lightly dressed responded to the call to celebrate the World Naked Bike Ride event in Thessaloniki, Greece on June 17. Every year in cities around the world, people participate in the unusual event, as wearing clothes is optional and the objective is to celebrate cycling, to demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists on the road, and to protest against the world’s oil dependency and the negative environmental impact of a car-dominated culture.
