Norman Abdul Halim not interested in politics

3 Jun – While some of his peers are now entering the political arena, KRU Entertainment's President and Group CEO, Datuk Norman Abdul Halim stated that politics is just not for him.

The former rapper, who spoke to Harian Metro earlier, said that being a supporter would suffice for him rather than run for office.

"I am not interested at all. I do have a lot of acquaintances in the political arena from various parties, and I realised that the responsibilities and trust they have to bear is great indeed," he said.

When mentioned that there are several artistes, including Datuk Afdlin Shauki and Datuk Hans Isaac who are involved in politics, Norman said that that is up to them.

"I believe that each and every one of them has their own political agenda and direction. But for me, I am just not interested," he said.

Nonetheless, Norman said that if one is to join politics, one should start from below - so that one could understand the problems plaguing the society first before trying to resolve issues involving the entertainment industry.
