‘Normal People’ Stars Spring Their Big News – But It’s Not What Many Hoped For
Fans, as fans often do, got really worked up about a teasing post by the stars of Normal People.
The romantic psychological drama miniseries, which followed the relationship of Marianne Sheridan (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Connell Waldron (Paul Mescal), was a huge hit among pandemic shut-ins. Since its 12 episodes concluded, there’s been a clamor for more.

Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones posted a photo on Instagram, flashing peace signs and promising “big news”’” on Thursday. That sparked wide speculation that another season was in the offing.
After appearing at the Fastnet Film Festival last week to reflect on their time working together, the new selfie of the teased an exciting new project.
The news turned out to be about a charity raffle to attend a marathon screening of Normal People alongside the stars of show.
‘We are incredibly sorry, we may have led people on, it’s not a season two,’ Paul began the video, with Daisy chiming in with “not yet.”
The screening of all twelve episodes of the hit Hulu show will be held in a Central London cinema on June 16. The marathon will run from 9:30 AM until 5:30 PM and will be in support of Pieta and UNICEF.
Following the screening there will be a Q&A with the cast and creatives behind the show.
