Nor'easter Brings Tree Down on Boston Home

A powerful nor’easter storm knocked out power for hundreds of thousands in eastern Massachusetts as wind gusts “over hurricane force” pummeled the area on Wednesday, October 27, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The NWS reported its highest wind gust at 94 mph in Edgartown. A total of 407,535 customers were without power as of 6:30 am on Wednesday. Travel was not recommended for residents in the affected areas.

Twitter user Jerrod shared a video from his property in Boston on Wednesday morning, showing a tree that fell on his home.
