Noel Clarke’s Former Agent Gary O’Sullivan Launches New Talent Management Firm (EXCLUSIVE)

Noel Clarke’s former agent, Gary O’Sullivan, has set up his own talent management firm, Variety can exclusively reveal. The firm, Accelerate Management, was launched last month.

O’Sullivan previously worked at 42 Management & Production, where he repped Clarke among other high-profile actors, including Emily Beecham (“The Pursuit of Love”) and Tom Felton (“Harry Potter”). O’Sullivan parted ways with 42 last month, though a reason for his departure was not provided at the time.

More from Variety

His was the second high-profile exit from 42 in the wake of numerous allegations of bullying and sexual harassment levelled against O’Sullivan’s former client, Noel Clarke.

Clarke, who denies all the allegations against him, was dropped from 42 (as well as CAA and Industry Entertainment, his U.S. management company) within a day of The Guardian publishing a lengthy article on April 29, alleging dozens of incidents of sexual misconduct perpetrated by the actor and director. There is no suggestion O’Sullivan was aware of the allegations against Clarke before they were published.

A week later, it was reported that O’Sullivan had left 42, with neither party citing a reason for the split. According to Companies House documents, O’Sullivan launched Accelerate Management six days later. He is currently listed as the only director.

The veteran agent had only joined 42 a mere six months earlier from Troika, where he worked as an agent and partner for 13 years. He was accompanied on his move from Troika to 42 by fellow agent Ellie Martin-Sperry and a number of faithful clients, including Clarke, Beecham and Felton.

From IMDb, it appears Beecham and Felton have followed O’Sullivan again to Accelerate, while Martin-Sperry remains at 42.

It does not appear that Accelerate currently represents Clarke.

42 did not respond to Variety’s queries by press time. O’Sullivan declined to comment.
