No Party for Cao Dong wins big at Golden Melody Awards
1 Jul - Taiwanese indie rock band No Party For Cao Dong has bagged the most awards at this year's Golden Melody Awards.
The band went home with Album of the Year, Best Mandarin Album as well as Best Band for their sophomore album, "The Clod", besting other singers and bands like The Loophole, MC Hotdog and Faith Yang.
However, despite the multiple wins, the band members were unable to attend to pick up the awards themselves due to prior engagements. They were instead represented by their manager.
Meanwhile, rapper MC HotDog emerged the winner of Best Male Mandarin Singer for his new album, "Disgusted Artist", while Shi Shi won the female equivalent of the category.
