No Fatalities After Small Plane Crashes on Utah Family's Front Lawn: 'People Here Were Blessed' — See the Video

"I had seen the video footage of the plane kind of sliding towards my house," said homeowner Anthony Baugh

A Utah home was the site of a shocking incident when a small plane crashed into the front yard of a local home — and the scary collision was all captured on video.

On Wednesday, July 24, authorities received a call at 3:55 p.m. local time that a small plane crash had occurred, according to a post from Roy City Fire & Rescue on Facebook.

Officials described the airplane as a “small two-engine aircraft that had two occupants,” who were both taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.

Homeowner Anthony Baugh told local FOX affiliate KSTU that his wife called him about the crash in their front yard while he was at work, which prompted him to access the video footage from his home security cameras. "I had seen the video footage of the plane kind of sliding towards my house," Baugh said. "It immediately left me in a panic trying to get home as fast as I could."

The Roy City Police Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Baugh continued, saying that his wife (who was home along with their children) attempted to help the occupants of the crash, but they were in “shock.”

"She was the one who came out, tried to offer them water, they said because they were in shock that they couldn't get any water or anything right now, but she came out and she saw the gentleman had a cut on his eye or above it on his head and then the young lady just looked like she was in shock," Baugh added.

Roy City Fire & Rescue said that only one home suffered damage due to the crash and that there were no other injuries besides the occupants of the plane. Both the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board were notified, per the department.

Baugh told KSTU that while he was happy that his family was safe, it did bring up sad memories of a tragic situation involving other family members.

"My eldest one, he was a little shook up a little bit," he said. "We had some family members that passed away in a plane crash a few years ago, so it was a little nerve-wracking."

"I don't know how many people out there are religious, but a lot of people here were blessed," Baugh said.
