No divorce pronouncement from Syamsul Yusof to Puteri Sarah Liyana

18 Apr – Well, it looks like there will be no divorce pronouncement from Syamsul Yusof towards estranged wife Puteri Sarah Liyana as expected, as the filmmaker is disputing some of the items in their agreement.

According to Syamsul's legal representative, Azmi Mohd Rais, efforts to settle the case were not successful after Puteri Sarah made several changes to the original agreement.

"When the draft agreement was submitted, we found that there were changes, among which the plaintiff (Sarah) still wanted to proceed with the lawsuit against Ira Kazar and her family. Sarah also asked for a high amount of mutaah which the defendant could not agree to," he said.

It is noted that the couple previously reached an agreement during a meeting on 9 April, with plans for Syamsul to pronounce divorce on 18 April.

Following the latest development, the proceedings are expected to continue with a report by the Conciliation Committee (JKP) Sharie Judge Akmaluddin Ilyas.
