Nikki Glaser sings Taylor Swift in the airport on way to Vienna for canceled show: 'We're f---ed'
Swift's three concerts in the Austrian capital were called off due to an alleged terror plot.
Nikki Glaser is singing the blues after finding out that the Vienna dates of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour had all been canceled while she was in the middle of traveling to Austria to attend one of the shows.
The comedian and her sister, Lauren Glaser, changed up the lyrics to Swift's 2019 hit "Cruel Summer" to properly express their shared heartbreak. "We're stuck at an airport gate / On our way to Vienna on a flight that was late," they sang in a hilarious TikTok video. "Planning outfits and singing songs / We had no idea how things could go wrong."
The sisters continued, "Then we get a text from our mom, saying that the shows have been canceled / Because [of] a threat from a bomb / And we screamed in a Hudson News, 'What the hell do I do with these goddamn sparkly shoes?' / I dyed my hair pink for nothing / We're f---ed!"
Swift was slated to perform three nights at the Ernst Happel Stadium beginning Thursday, but the shows were called off after two suspected terrorists were arrested in Austria on Wednesday and accused of plotting an attack on the shows.
A joint statement posted by Swift's Taylor Nation account and concert promoter Barracuda Music on social media said, "With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone's safety. All tickets will be automatically refunded within the next 10 business days."

Glaser, an Eras Tour veteran who has attended at least 17 shows thus far, had been specifically traveling to Vienna to attend at least one of Swift's concerts and didn't conceal her sadness after the change of plans.
"Unintended 32-hour layover in D.C. before we finally head to Vienna for no reason," she wrote on her Instagram stories Wednesday. "JK, I know Vienna has other things to offer besides Taylor Swift but name even one!!!"
Glaser and her sister did eventually land in Vienna on Thursday. Since her arrival, she's shared snapshots of the front pages of multiple newspapers discussing the incident.
She was also able to find a silver lining to her travels, attending the mass gathering of Swift fans at Cornelia Street — a nod to her 2019 song of the same name — that was held in Vienna on Thursday. "Sang All Too Well with thousands of displaced Swifts in Vienna," Glaser wrote on a video from the event shared on her Instagram stories.

While visiting Jimmy Kimmel Live in July, Glaser revealed that seeing Swift perform is "what I do with my free time." She added, "When I have weekends off, I fly to see her. I'm like a divorced dad doing his best to see his daughter — I make an effort, 'I'll fly in and see you.' She has no idea who I am, but I'm just the biggest fan."
