Two of Night Court’s most memorable defendants are returning to the courtroom.
Brent Spiner and Annie O’Donnell will reprise their roles as hard-luck couple Bob and June Wheeler later this season on NBC’s sequel series, TVLine has learned. Night Court producer Dan Rubin announced the news during the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Tuesday.

Spiner and O’Donnell guest-starred in six episodes of Night Court’s original NBC run as the Wheelers, a dirt-poor couple who always seemed to get the short end of the stick. Plus, Big Bang Theory alum Kate Micucci will play the Wheelers’ daughter, who’s now all grown up. (Micucci joins fellow Big Bang star Melissa Rauch on Night Court, although Micucci’s Lucy and Rauch’s Bernadette never crossed paths on Big Bang.)
Spiner, of course, went on to play android lieutenant Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation, a role he reprised in four Star Trek movies and then on Paramount+’s Star Trek: Picard. O’Donnell’s other TV credits include Days of Our Lives, Big Love and… yes, two episodes of The Big Bang Theory.
Along with the Wheelers, Night Court will also welcome back Marsha Warfield as Roz in the Season 2 finale, following her two-episode stint spanning Seasons 1 and 2, plus guest appearances later this season from Melissa Fumero, Ryan Hansen and Julia Sweeney.
