Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber Star in Netflix Murder-Mystery Series “The Perfect Couple” — See the Teaser!
The limited series drama arrives exclusively on Netflix this fall
Things aren’t always what they seem with The Perfect Couple.
The upcoming six-episode limited series featuring Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber as a wealthy married couple in a massive home on Nantucket will premiere Sept. 5 on Netflix, the streamer revealed on July 11.
Meghann Fahy, Eve Hewson, Dakota Fanning, Ishaan Khatter, Billy Howle and Jack Reynor also star in the upcoming murder mystery.
According to an official synopsis of the series, “Amelia Sacks (Hewson) is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families on Nantucket. Her disapproving future mother-in-law, famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury (played by Kidman), has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the season — until a body turns up on the beach."

“As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer’s novels. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect," the synopsis continues.
The Perfect Couple is an adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s New York Times bestseller of the same name.
In the first official teaser trailer for The Perfect Couple, Greer (Kidman) and Tag Winbury (Schreiber) are interviewed at their Nantucket estate about their “unconditional” 29-year marriage. According to Tag, “a healthy sex life” contributed to their lasting relationship.
“That’s really important,” Tag adds, as Greer laughs and playfully covers his mouth.
The scene then cuts away to lavish and upscale scenes of the Massachusetts island located off of Cape Cod. Private boats, private jets and tennis matches are seen as “Can't Take My Eyes off You” plays.
Next, Greer welcomes the new member of her family before over-the-top wedding festivities take place.
“The key to this family is to just stay on the periphery,” Abby Winbury (Fanning) tells her soon-to-be sister-in-law as the two ladies lounge by the pool.
The love song begins to change its tune, and next, police are sectioning off the beach that’s just beyond the Winbury family's Nantucket home. News spreads that there’s been a death.
“This all feels a little dramatic for an accidental drowning,” Tag tells the cops as they search the family home for clues and begin their investigation.
The teaser continues to a dark family dinner, where Amelia Sachs (Houston) asks the Winbury family why they “get people to sign NDAs.”
“They’re rich. Kill someone and get away with it rich,” an investigator says in another scene while discussing the wealthy brood.
An intense montage plays — featuring flirting, fist fights and fireworks — before things slow down to a family portrait being taken and “Can't Take My Eyes off You” resumes.
