Nicky Wu enjoys the experience of fatherhood
1 Jun – Now that he is a father, Nicky Wu admitted that all of his focus in life has changed, with his full attention being turned to his little one.
As reported on Epoch Times, the actor who has recently joined the upcoming Mango TV reality show, "Wonderful Little Forest" (translated title), stated that he used to centre his world around his work, with his eating and sleeping pattern revolving around his acting schedule.
"Nowadays, I get up and go to sleep following our child's "clock". Although there was a period of adjustment, I liked the process very much," he added.
When asked why he decided to join the reality show, Nicky said that he wanted to learn more skills in bringing up his son and to be able to communicate more with the little one.
Speaking about being a father, Nicky said that he now noticed things he never thought about, like how a child's cries does not always mean one thing.
"Maybe they're sleepy, maybe they need a diaper change, or they are just uncomfortable. It does not necessarily mean that they are hungry," he said.
Asked if he has any expectations of his son, Nicky responded, "I just want him to be healthy and happy."
Nicky tied the knot with his "Scarlet Heart" co-star Cecilia Liu in 2015. Their son, nicknamed Bubu, was born in April 2019.
