“Due to the events of last week, the Nicki Minaj show on Sunday, 2nd June at Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam will no longer be taking place,” Dutch promoter Mojo announced on its website today. “Tickets will be refunded at the point of sale.”
Minaj documented her arrest on social media by police officers at an airport in the Netherlands last week for "carrying drugs," the raptress said. Minaj was on her way to Manchester for the next stop on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, but she had to postpone the show due to her legal trouble. She repeatedly denied the allegations by Dutch authorities.
In a series of X posts, Minaj claimed that officers “took my luggage w/out consent” and were “trying to keep me from MANCHESTER.” She added, “This is Amsterdam btw, where weed is legal.”

According to the BBC, Dutch police said Minaj was fined and allowed to continue on her trip. In a statement, Minaj said she sat in a jail cell for "5-6 hours" and her plane wasn't allowed to take off for another 20 minutes after she boarded. Minaj went on to allege that the airport stop was all part of a scheme to keep her from Manchester and to derail her tour.
“They’re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b/c soooooo many ppl are mad that it’s this successful & they can’t eat off me," the "Moment 4 Life" rapper wrote on X. "They got caught stealing money from my travel/jets. Got fired. Got mad. Etc.”
In a video shared by a fan account, the 41-year-old tells fans waiting outside her hotel, “I love you and I’m so sorry this happened tonight."
