Browns' Jarvis Landry: Odell Beckham Jr. looks 'amazing' 6 months after ACL surgery

Jarvis Landry has great news for Cleveland Browns fans: His teammate and fellow wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. looks like he's back to his old self.

Beckham missed more than half of the 2020 season after tearing his ACL in Week 7. He participated in Landry's charity softball event over the weekend, and while he didn't set the world on fire with his bat, Landry said that Beckham was in top form when they recently worked out together.

"Man, he looked amazing," Landry told reporters via ESPN. "I can't wait for you guys to see him. I can't wait for him to get back out there. He's in fantastic shape and he's ready to go. He's only what, 6½ months [beyond surgery], and he's already doing some things that will blow your mind away."

Landry: OBJ already looks better than last year

Landry and OBJ took the field together at workouts in Texas hosted by quarterback Baker Mayfield. Landry said he was impressed by what he watched Beckham do.

"He ran a post route, sticking off the same injured leg and exploding out of it, then going up, jumping off that same leg and making a catch, doing his thing — what he does with one hand," Landry told ESPN. "You sit back and you're like, 'Wait. He's even better than he was last year.'"

Landry's description fits with what we've seen Beckham do in videos he posted on Instagram.

The Browns' mandatory minicamp takes place this week, so he'll finally be able to show off those moves to coaches and teammates.

There's also video of OBJ participating in the home run derby during Landry's charity softball event, which probably won't inspire the same feelings as his Instagram workout videos.

He doesn't have the best swing, but when you can do what Beckham can do on the football field, your softball swing is probably way, way down on the list of things to work on.
