KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 (Bernama) -- The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) will re-align the structure of the National Football Development Programme (NFDP) and the grassroots development programme at the Mokhtar Dahari Academy (AMD).
FAM president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said this after holding a discussion with NFPD technical director Saad Ichalalene and AMD director Dennis Bekking at Wisma FAM today.
Hamidin said in a statement, which was uploaded to FAM’s Facebook page, that he hoped the discussion would see Malaysian football continue to be empowered through training programmes and player development in AMD be better streamlined and coordinated.
Apart from Saad, who was the former head coach of Paris Saint Germain’s academy before being appointed to head NFPD on Dec 1 last year, and Bekking, others who attended the discussion were FAM technical director Peter De Roo and FAM secretary-general Stuart Ramalingam.
