Newly Released Bodycam Video Shows Utah Police Speaking to Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito

The Moab City Police Department in eastern Utah released additional bodycam footage of 22-year-old Gabrielle “Gabby” Petito and her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, being pulled over on Thursday, August 12.

An alternate angle, captured by the bodycam of one of the responding officers, shows a visibly upset Petito talking to officers from the back of a police vehicle while Laundrie speaks to another officer some distance away. Moab police said they pulled the couple over after receiving a call about a domestic dispute and after their vehicle hit a curb near the entrance to Arches National Park, Utah.

Petito was officially reported missing to the police on Saturday, September 11. Her body was discovered in Wyoming’s Bridger-Teton National Forest on September 21. Her death was declared a homicide.

Laundrie, who originally returned to Florida on September 10, has not been seen since September 13 and was still missing as of October 1. A manhunt involving local Florida authorities and the FBI was underway. Credit: Moab City Police Department via Storyful
