Netherlands Residents Brave Gale Force Winds as Storm Ciara Slams Coast

Storm Ciara brought severe winds and heavy rain to Britain and parts of northern continental Europe on Sunday, February 9, causing flooding, storm damage, and widespread travel disruption.

Dozens of flights were cancelled at Schiphol airport in the Netherlands as the storm moved in from the Atlantic, prompting a code orange weather warning for the entire country, local media reported.
