Dutch military units responded to intense flooding in the town of Valkenburg, in the Netherlands province of Limburg, on Wednesday, July 15, as severe flooding hit Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Around 100 soldiers were deployed to help deal with the chaos, according to local reports.
Reports said over 400 homes in the town lost power on Wednesday and several nursing homes and hospice sites were evacuated. No deaths had been reported in the Netherlands at the time of writing.
