New on Netflix July 2019: Movies, TV Shows and Originals
July is in full swing on Netflix, which is throwing out all of its best reasons to keep you subscribed and stay inside, even during the best weather. Those heavy hitters include the recently-released Stranger Things Season 3 and Season 7 of Orange Is the New Black (its final run).

But wait, there's more. A Netflix Original documentary called The Great Hack will give insight to the Cambridge Analytica scandal that rocked America and Facebook after the 2016 presidential election. Another Life — a film starring Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) — will provide some needed escapism, as the former Starbuck leads a crew to explore space and understand the truth behind an alien artifact.
Other highlights include new seasons Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants and Queer Eye. Check out our best family movies on Netflix if you're looking for films to watch with your family.
And while we're excited for Stranger Things' David Harbour's next Netflix project (the just announced mockumentary Frankenstein's Monster's Monster) that arrives July 16, we're already saying "No!" to his co-star Gaten Matarazzo's upcoming prank show that fools people into thinking they're getting part-time work. Even though the child-actor says that the show's unsuspecting victims will be compensated, this one is a little too real in this economy.
Looking to the future? Netflix is adapting the Cuphead video game into an original TV show, and it's also secured the rights to an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman graphic novel, in a move that stops Amazon Prime Video (which just released Good Omens) from getting yet another Gaiman title.
