Neighbours spoilers follow.
In a new issue of Inside Soap magazine (October 6), the actor – who has been a part of the Aussie show since its very first episode in March 1985 – recalled how he filmed scenes that see the cold-hearted businessman go "back to his scheming self" about a month ago.
"You've got all of that to look forward to," he laughed, making sure to keep the details under wraps. "It cracks me up – Paul's a hypocritical bugger.
"If someone's giving him a hard time, the police are the first people he calls – but he always looks the other way when he's doing something dodgy!"
"Coming up is a fight filmed under COVID-restrictions," Dennis added, having been asked whether there's ever a funny side to socially distanced acting. "It was hilarious watching two people fight that can't make contact with each other!"
While discussing his Inside Soap Award nomination, Dennis admitted that he tries "not to be cynical" about whether he'll win or not, despite getting a nod every year and never bagging the prize.
"I suppose this could be the year, but it's lovely to be nominated, and very flattering," he gushed. "Winning a prize is always fun, isn't it? People tell me what a wonderful actor I am, yet I've never won an award for acting."
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
