Way back in 2004, Neval's Lana Crawford made history as the soap's first lesbian character.
The schoolgirl shared a brief romantic relationship with Sky Mangel (Stephanie McIntosh) when they attended Erinsborough High together and the couple even shared the soap's first lesbian kiss before Lana later returned to Canada.
Speaking of her return to the soap in an Instagram post on Monday (March 9), Bridget admitted that when she was told about the storyline, she just "couldn't say no".
"So I don't act anymore," she explained. "But when the producer of Neighbours, Jason Herbison, rang me and told me that he wanted to finally have Lana end up with her dream girl... I couldn't say no.
"Tune into @neighbours over the next couple of weeks to see Sky and Lana get hitched... without a hitch? Ahahaha of course not. Boring!" she added.
"Tune in for happy weddings but also drama, cold feet, unexpected exes and an explosion or two."
The storyline will kick off with the return of Stephanie McIntosh as Sky when she comes back to Erinsborough to tie the knot with Lana after they reconnected as adults.
At first, only Sky's cousin Jane Harris is aware of their plans, but it's not long before the secret gets out.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
