NASCAR results: Joey Logano storms to win at Las Vegas, claims points lead over Ross Chastain, Chase Elliott
Joey Logano utilized a late pit stop to climb from sixth at the final restart to running down race leader and fellow playoff competitor Ross Chastain to win the South Point 400 at Las Vegas and clinch a spot in the Championship Four. Logano also assumes the points lead over Chastain and 2020 champion Chase Elliott.
Christopher Bell was caught up in a Stage 2 accident with Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson, ending his day prematurely and sending him from the fourth and final advance spot down to eighth. A charge from 31st on the grid to fifth vaulted Denny Hamlin from seventh to fourth in the playoff standings.
