NASA’s Mars Helicopter Makes Longest and Fastest Flight to Date

NASA’s Ingenuity Mars Helicopter made its longest and fastest flight to date on April 8, NASA said.

Video filmed by the navigation camera aboard the craft shows the flight above the surface of Mars.

A flight log showed the flight lasted 161.3 seconds, with the helicopter covering 2,310 feet (704 meters). It had a maximum speed of 12.3 mph. Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech via Storyful
