Nancy Sit thankful for TVB's Lifetime Achievement Award

19 Dec – Veteran singer-actress Nancy Sit was overwhelmed with emotion as she received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the TVB Anniversary Awards 2018.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who accepted the award from colleagues Bowie Wu and Michael Lai, said that she is grateful for the award and her 60-year career in showbiz.

"These 60 years haven't been easy. I was most grateful that during the most frustrating period of my career, Sister Chun (TVB Executive Catherine Tsang) invited me to shoot "A Kindred Spirit", which became a turning point in my life. Without this opportunity I wouldn't have had a stable home," she said.

She also thanked TVB executives Virginia Lok and Sandy Yue for giving her support and assistance, and enabled her to continue working on shows like "Cantopop at 50".

"Thank you to every team and artistes I have worked with before. I learned a lot working with them. Whenever I was late from working on several teams, they would cover for me. When I forgot to eat they would buy me stuff to eat and saved me a lot. In the end I will keep working hard to show my appreciation to everyone," she added.
