N.W.T. RCMP conducting search and rescue operation for man near Behchokǫ̀
RCMP in Behchokǫ̀ say they're conducting a search and rescue operation after a man didn't show up at his cabin.
Ralph Beaulieu, 54, was expected to get picked up at his cabin south of Behchokǫ̀, according to RCMP, but was not there when a friend went to meet him, according to RCMP. They did not say when he was initially expected.
RCMP say officers hiked into Beaulieu's cabin and conducted an initial ground search but did not find him.
"The search for Ralph Beaulieu is on-going with the assistance of CASARA and Yellowknife Ground Search and Rescue," RCMP spokesperson Matt Halstead said in a news release Saturday.
Anyone has seen Beaulieu or may have picked him up on the highway south of Behchokǫ̀ is asked to contact the Behchokǫ̀ RCMP.
